Leichhardt is so unique. Our industries, environment, way of life and most of all, our people, are as diverse as they are dynamic.
Meeting the challenge of that diversity demands flexibility and a local representative that can relate to people of all walks of life.
I know this because I grew up in Far North Queensland. I was educated, worked and lived here most of my life. Like many young people I had to move away to complete my education and pursue my career. But North Queensland has always been home.
Warren Entsch gave me my start in politics. Over the years we have worked closely together to get things done for our community. Before that I was a journalist in Cairns. For most of my career I've worked locally and been a passionate advocate for the people and issues I believed in.
Warren has really raised the bar in terms of representation for our region. I am determined our community continues to get the strong, effective leadership we need and deserve.
I want to ensure Far North Queensland continues to be the best place in the best country in the world in which to live, work and play.
